The 19th edition of Art On The Porches will take place on Ruskin Avenue in Syracuse’s historic Strathmore Neighborhood on June 16 2018 from 11AM to 5PM. Art On The Porches operates under the auspices of the Greater Strathmore Neighborhood Association.
Art On The Porches is an art show, sale, and celebration of the historic Strathmore neighborhood and it’s unique urban lifestyle featuring local artists who design and create original works of art. Artists will be displaying and selling their work from the spacious porches and lawns of the beautiful homes along Ruskin Avenue.
This year’s festival features over 30 artists, painters, photographers, potters, muralists, jewelers and more.
At our children’s corner kids will be delighted to find hands on activities where they can show off their artistic talents as well, with workshops coordinated by Strathmore Neighbor Lydia Mumford proprietor of local business Lydia’s Daily Thread (https://www.facebook.com/lydiasdailythreadstudio/).
Local food is also featured as the event hosts a variety of local food vendors to satisfy all hungry visitors palates.
Art On The Porches also means music in the streets. As always we will have two stages of music running throughout the afternoon. This year we are lucky enough to have been able to bring KMASE Productions on board as a named sponsor of the Storytellers Stage. KMASE Productions has been bringing its wildly successful storytellers series to venues all around the region and we are thrilled to present it at Art On The Porches.
KMase will also have the family friendly after party at Funk ‘n Waffles! At 6PM you can grab a waffle and beverage and chill out to the Storytellers Series featuring Evan Bujold, Nadine Prince, Connor Campbell and Charley Orlando.
