DESCRIPTION:The laughter is coming to McGraw when Homebrewed Comedy hits the stage at McGraw Box Brewing Co. on Friday\, March 28. Will Purpura is headlining the show and RJ Purpura is joining host Mike Peters.\nThe show starts at 7 p.m.\, but get there early to get some drinks. It’s a free show\, so tip the staff super well. Seating begins at 6:30 p.m.\nAbout the comedians:\nMike Peters\, a Binghamton comedian\, specializes in self-deprecating\, observational humor. A contributor for Funny or Die\, Peters is the founder of Homebrewed Comedy. He hosts at the Syracuse Funny Bone and Wise Crackers in Wilkes-Barre\, Pa.\, won the Utica Brews Laugh Contest and Uptown Roast Battle and opened for Super Troopers’ Rabbit\, Erik Stolhanske and Gilbert Gottfried. Peters produces shows all over New York and hosts his weekly podcasts\, On the Mic with Mike Peters and It’s About Time: A Sopranos Watch Podcast.\nOriginally from Rochester\, RJ Purpura has been writing and performing comedy for many years and has had the privilege of working with comedians such as Dave Attell\, Doug Stanhope\, Big Jay Oakerson\, Gilbert Gottfriend and Dan Soder. Purpura’s rapid-fire witticisms cover a wide variety of topics\, all with an (un)healthy dose of self-deprecation\, that lead to him being named the 2017 Funniest Person in Rochester. Purpura has performed all over upstate New York\, in New York City\, at the Finger Lakes Comedy Festival and the Rochester Fringe Festival.\nWill Purpura is a comedian based in New York City. He has a high-energy\, positive act that’s fun for everyone. He’s been featured in the Westside Comedy Festival\, the North Carolina Comedy Festival\, the West End Comedy Festival and the Altercation Comedy Festival.
