Scotland’s most popular live act will bring an international flair to Chevy Court on Wednesday\, August 27 at 6 p.m.\n“We’re always trying to bring the next big act to The Fair that will leave fairgoers feeling as if they just experienced something totally unique\,” said Fair Director Julie LaFave. “The Red Hot Chilli Pipers have put on countless incredible shows across the world and have been hailed by some of entertainment’s biggest stars as a can’t miss act. We search far and wide for the world’s best talent and we’re proud to be able to offer outstanding programming\, all of which is included in the low cost of an admission ticket to The Fair.”\nA nine-piece ensemble consisting of bagpipers\, guitarists\, keyboards\, and drummers\, the Red Hot Chilli Pipers vaulted to fame in 2007 after winning the primetime television show “When Will I Be Famous” in the United Kingdom. Since then\, the group\, which has become a global phenomenon for their “bagrock” sound\, has sold out shows from New York City\, Beijing\, Melbourne\, and everywhere in between.\nThe Pipers fuse traditional bagpipe tunes\, including “The Flowers of Scotland\,” “The Hills of Argyll\,” and “Amazing Grace\,” with contemporary anthems like Queen’s “We Will Rock You\,” Clocks” by Coldplay\, “Chasing Cars” by Snow Patrol\, “Smoke on the Water” by Deep Purple\, “Thunderstruck” by AC/DC\, and many more.\nThe group has released nine albums in all\, including “Blast Live\,” which was certified platinum three times in 2008 while their fourth album skyrocketed to the No. 2 spot on Amazon’s Top Music Chart behind only Adele’s record-breaking album “21.” The Red Hot Chilli Pipers have been named Best Live Act in Scotland twice and have had their songs streamed millions times.\nAll concerts/acts in the Chevrolet Music Series – including Chevy Court performances – are free to fairgoers with your Fair admission.
