SUMMARY:After Prison: When I Think of Freedom
DESCRIPTION:At a time when many of us are questioning the true meaning of freedom\, we invite you to join us for an evening of powerful readings by those impacted by the criminal justice system. From writer and spiritual activist Marvin Wade to members of the Project Mend editorial team\, these writers will speak their truth and reflect on what freedom means—especially to those who have had it taken away.\nRefreshments will be provided by the Friends of Seymour Library. No registration required.\nMarvin Wade is a writer and spiritual activist who was incarcerated for 25 years. Along with being published in several journals\, including Mend and Voices of Fortune\, Marvin has read his work at the Everson Museum of Art\, Princeton University\, the Museum of Modern Art\, and Syracuse University. He believes that his purpose in life is to be a light for others who are searching for their true selves and their true paths in life.\nShare this:\n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n Like this:Like Loading...
