SUMMARY:The Smartphone Orchestra
DESCRIPTION:Tickets at:\nhttps://www.viecycle.com/smo.html\n\n\n$18 per person\, tickets can be purchased in advance. Capacity is limited and doors close at 4:15pm\, no entry after 4:15pm.\n\n\nVie Cycle is proud to introduce The Smartphone Orchestra\, an interactive theatre group from the Netherlands! \nWhat happens when you throw a bunch of people together and give them something completely unexpected to do? The Smartphone Orchestra creates playful\, surprising and occasionally profound group experiences that help you connect – not with your screen\, but with the people around you. \nYour smartphone is turned into a guide\, a game controller\, and even a conversation starter. Before you know it\, you’re laughing with strangers and bonding over the weirdest thing. You’ll laugh\, connect\, reflect\, and might just leave the room feeling like you’ve become part of something bigger. \nPut your smartphone habits to good use and join this fun and unique 2-part event \nProgram Details: \nThe award winning show Ancestors is a 75-minute Interactive Journey into the Future! \n\n\nIn Ancestors\, you and your fellow participants tell the stories of those who will come after us\, stepping into a future shaped by the actions of today. Your smartphone becomes your guide\, leading you through a world where the impact of climate change\, technological advancements\, and social challenges have taken hold. Together with your coparents\, your decisions and interactions shape the narrative and influence the collective outcome of the experience. \nThis isn’t just a passive performance; it’s an immersive\, participatory journey where the audience is as much a part of the story as the content itself. As you explore these possible futures\, you’ll find yourself questioning your relationship with technology\, society\, and the planet. The unique combination of speculative fiction\, interactive storytelling\, and real-time decision-making will leave you with plenty to think about long after the experience ends. Will humanity find solutions to these pressing challenges? And what role will you play in shaping that future? \n\nTickets at:\nhttps://www.viecycle.com/smo.html\nShare this:\n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n Like this:Like Loading...

SUMMARY:A Christmas Story the Musical; Multiple Showings
DESCRIPTION:By Philip Grecian | Based on the motion picture A Christmas Story written by Jean Shepherd\, Leigh Brown\, and Bob Clark and In God We Trust\, All Others Pay Cash by Jean Shepherd | Directed by Robert Hupp \nThe beloved holiday film\, live onstage! \n9-year-old Ralphie Parker has his sights set on a coveted Christmas gift\, but he’ll have to play his cards right if he’s going to convince the “Old Man” to leave it under the tree. Meanwhile\, he’ll have to deal with the neighborhood bully\, an annoying kid brother\, nagging teachers\, and the constant cold of a frigid Indiana winter. Filled with the most memorable moments from the beloved 1983 film—a glorious leg lamp\, grandma’s bunny pajamas\, Orphan Annie’s decoder ring\, and one serious triple-dog-dare—this nostalgic adaptation faithfully captures author Jean Shepherd’s small-town wit while inviting new audiences to discover this timeless family comedy for the first time. \n“This version is just as kindly and just as cockeyed as A Christmas Story is meant to be.”\n– Orlando Sentinel \nNov. 25th- 7:30pm \nNov. 26th- 7:30pm \nShare this:\n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email\n Like this:Like Loading...
