Chris Eves & the New Normal

The City of Auburn & Auburn Downtown BID are pleased to announce a FREE concert under the State Street bandshell on Friday, August 8, 2025 as part of the Summer Homecoming (aka Founder’s Day) Weekend! Please join us in welcoming Chris Eves & the New Normal performing from 7-10 pm.
Chris Eves and the New Normal blur the lines between rock, funk, country, and blues with a healthy dose of jam band influences. Thoughtful lyrics blend seamlessly with solid roots rock riffs, pop sensibilities and, catchy hooks. Based out of Syracuse NY, the band has shared the stage with such diverse artists as the Zac Brown Band, Jon Fishman of Phish, Gov’t Mule, Cheap Trick, Gregg Allman and many others.
The one-way portion of State Street will be closed to all vehicle traffic and Open Container is waived. Please patron the many nearby downtown bars, restaurants, and breweries throughout the evening.
This event is made possible through a generous contribution provided by the NYS Equal Rights Heritage Center. The Moondog’s Lounge afterglow party will feature a performance by Joel Kane’s Uptown from 10 pm – midnight.
