About PEAK:
Born from the vision of Brooklyn guitarist and songwriter Jeremy Hilliard (formerly of Turbine), PEAK has grown into a powerhouse of the modern jam and improv rock scene. Since releasing their acclaimed debut Electric Bouquet in 2018, the band has carved a unique lane with their blend of psychedelic indie funk, blues-rock grit, and danceable improvisation.
The lineup features a stacked roster of talent: Kito Bovenschulte (Particle) drives the heartbeat on drums, Josh T. Carter (Hayley Jane & The Primates, Sundub) holds down the low end with precision, and Johnny Young elevates the sound with soulful vocals and virtuosic keys. Together, they channel a wide spectrum of influences—from The Grateful Dead and Talking Heads to Radiohead, James Brown, and Miles Davis—while always keeping their own voice at the center.
With three studio albums—Electric Bouquet, Choppy Water (recorded in part at Syracuse’s own MoreSound Studios), and the recent Vanishing Skies—PEAK has proven themselves as fearless songwriters and explorers of sound. Their live shows are where they truly shine, seamlessly weaving tight compositions into expansive jams that electrify audiences.
