It’s officially Festival Season. We’ve got free events throughout the city and something- no more than enough- for everyone. Pull out your calendar and mark it up.
Taste of Syracuse is happening this weekend in Clinton Square. This festival highlights local restaurants along with an outstanding music lineup. A couple of our well know musicians’ offspring will also be performing. Mike Spadaro’s son, Dylan, plays 1-3 PM Saturday on the Clinton Square Stage. Blues Fest is up next at Chevy Court June 16-18. This is also a free event with local favorites Brownskin Band, Los Blancos, Nate Gross Band and more. Vanessa Collier and JJ Grey & Mofro are among the headliners.
Jazz Fest returns June 23-25 after a five year hiatus. Downtown will be alive with the sound of music. Local bars are booked up with music acts. The main event finds it’s home in Clinton Square for the first time since 2000. Performers include:
