Tuesday

Afroman, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, political candidate, and comedian. He is best known for his 2000 single “Because I Got High”, and its follow-up, the 2001 single “Crazy Rap”. Both songs were featured on his album The Good Times (2001). Afroman was nominated for a Grammy award a year later.

 

Gary Clark Jr. is at Beak & Skiff. Last time he was in town he put on a great show at Papermill Island. I’m looking forward to hearing his new music.

Wednesday

John Wiatt at Center for the Arts of Homer 8 pm. Tickets available.
A master lyricist and satirical storyteller, John Hiatt delivers songs filled with tales of redemption, relationships and surrendering on his own terms.

Thursday

The Westcott Jug Suckers, Central NY’s legendary misfit choir, are back at the 443 on June 6.

The lineup for this show will include multi-instrumentalist and vocalist extraordinaire, Shirley Woddcock-Kolb, harmonica player Curtis Waterman, a musician who transcends the limitations of the instrument and has a sound so distinctive it is immediately identifiable, and the rhythm section of Rodney Zajac, a seasoned road vet who has toured with Albert Collins and Junior Wells to name a couple of his former employers on the baritone saxophone and Los Blancos drummer Mark Tiffault. The band is rounded out with the head goofball, Colin Aberdeen of guitar and vocals.
The Suckers are psyched and this is gonna rock!!

Kasador returns to Funk ‘n Waffles 8 pm.

Friday

The Summit Federal Credit Union TASTE OF SYRACUSE presented by Tops Friendly Markets RETURNS on June 7th & 8th in and around Clinton Square in Downtown Syracuse NY is FREE 11am-10pm both days!

30 bands will play on the 3 stages over the course of the weekend with iconic 90’s headliner HANSON playing Saturday Night on the Main Stage! PLUS rock band CRACKER will also play too!
