Over the holiday weekend I got out quite a bit. I saw Nosmo Kings at Meier’s Creek, Syracuse Symphony at Beard Park, BSG at Shifty’s and Jazz Jam at Funk ‘n Waffles. My favorite part was meeting Hannah from Colorado. She was in town for the Biscoland Festival at Wonderland Forest and had Sunday to kill. Her Uber driver told her about the jazz jam at Funk. Host, Josh Delaney, figured she was a singer. She wowed everyone with her performance. When she wanted to know what to do next naturally I shared the CNYAlive.com events calendar.

The undeniable success of the Tuesday Tribute series brings it home as we collaborate to celebrate the incredible musical talent rooted right here at home. Our audiences have been amazed at the collaborations at The Ridge and now they can see many of these same artists share their own music supported by some of the best players in our area. City of Auburn’s Summer Concert Series continues Tuesday, July 9th 6 pm at Hoopes Park with classic rock trio, Total Recall! All concerts are FREE and open to the public. Vendors include Real Pit BBQ, Tony’s Lemonade, Muzzi’s D’ Italian Ice, and Poppy’s Ice Cream.
