RootsCollider is an “Underground Funktronic Dance Rock” band from Rochester, NY that uses a studio producer’s approach to writing original music. The group creates their art primarily by layering melodies, rhythms, and samples made in Ableton with an anthemic riff rock approach. Think of if Rage Against the Machine & The Beastie Boys went to an illicit warehouse rave and collaborated with all of the DJ’s from EDM’s golden era of the 1990’s.
Friday

Don’t miss The Neil Minet Band w/s/g Bradford Allen Trio. Funk ‘n Waffles 8 pm.
Neil Minet loves performing almost as much as he loves escaping to solitude. Born, raised, and currently working in upstate New York, Neil is an artist, songwriter, and bandleader on a never ending search for the right sound, the right word, and the right story. He enjoys playing small listening rooms as much as he enjoys large stages and as a listener first, finds his purpose in making music that can give back some sliver of the joy he’s experienced from it himself. His earliest roots are in the blues, his earliest guitar lessons in folk and Americana, and his earliest gigs were playing bluegrass and rock ‘n roll. Somewhere between those genres is where Neil began his journey, and his final destination: unknown.
Bradford is a multi-instrumentalist, singer/songwriter, and music producer from Central Upstate New York. His love for both live performance and recording is evident in his songs, crafted from triumph, tragedy, and everything in between. The respect and reverence for the art of music is clear in all his work, but Brad is not the kind to take himself too seriously. Onstage, he’s not one to shy away from a bad joke or the chance to cheers a beer or three!
His LP “Selfishly Empathetic” was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2023 SAMMY awards.
