Hello October! Here are some fun events to consider this week in CNY.
Thursday

Big Something: Headspace Fall Tour w/ s/g Consider The Source at Middle Ages Beer Hall
18+ | Doors at 7PM
Hailing from the North Carolina countryside, or “The Middle of Nowhere,” as it’s proudly dubbed on their debut album, the 6 headed musical monster known as ‘Big Something’ has steadily become one of the most unique and exciting rock bands to emerge from the Southeast.
Huge rhythms paired with soaring guitars, E.W.I (electronic wind instrument), synths, horns and soulful vocals rise to the top of their signature sound taking listeners on a journey through a myriad of musical styles. With a diverse and growing catalog of timeless songs that tell stories, and a high energy live show fusing improvisational alternative rock with funk, reggae, jazz, electronica, heavy metal and more – there’s not another band quite like Big Something.

Artist Statement:
Hey, I’m Cam! Thank you for being here! I hope you are enjoying the art! I’m a 26-year-old artist living in Syracuse, NY. My art comes from a place of experimentation and exploration. My aim is to create things that feel special – things that feel like they have their own soul.
I try to let each piece develop its own identity and speak for itself. My role is to try to understand and serve as the hands that form each piece into the best/truest version of themselves. Whatever they say is up to them, determined by their own nature and it’s interaction with the viewer.
For better or worse, I’m guided heavily by my interests, which cast a pretty wide and distraction-prone net. I rarely stick with anything for very long before moving into new territory, so I’m almost always experimenting in some way. It means I never quite know what I’m doing, which is fun, and breeds new things! But is also difficult and stressful.
I work in many different mediums, including visual, audio, narrative, and social, all with the aim of creating things that feel special. Of course, not everyone will connect with every piece on that level, but I hope each piece does connect with at least one person, and I hope, even if just for a select few, it creates a little special moment for just the 2 of them. And I hope one of them is you!
Thank you again for being here! If I’m around and you wanna chat, please do come and chat! I’d love to meet you and talk art or whatever! And if I’m not around, hit me up on Instagram @camclarke.art
