Day-of Registration: will be conducted at Iron Pier Apartments (Located inside Meier’s Creek Brewing Company at the Helping Hounds Dog Rescue Table)
This year we are offering three categories:
1. Adult Human Dogsled Race:
– Consists of 5 people. 4 pullers or pushers and 1 rider pulling a sled of the team’s own design.
– The course is approximately 100ft
– Teams compete in timed, two-team races, and the two fastest times in each category will run a second race.
Entry Fee:
Early Bird Special (December – January 19th): $60.00 per team ($12 a team member)
January 19th – Event Day: $75.00 per team ($15.00 a team member)
2. Age 14-18 Human Dogsled Race (no adults):
– Consists of 4 people or less. 3 pullers or pushers and 1 rider pulling a sled of the team’s own design or store-bought plastic sled
– The course is approximately 100ft
– Teams compete in timed, two-team races, and the two fastest times in each category will run a second race.
Entry Fee:
Early Bird Special (December – January 19th): $10.00 per team
January 19th – Event Day: $15.00 per team
3. Age 13 and Under Human Dogsled Race (no adults):
– Consists of 4 people or less. 3 pullers or pushers and 1 rider pulling a sled of the team’s own design or store-bought plastic sled
– The course is approximately 100ft
– Teams compete in timed, two-team races, and the two fastest times in each category will run a second race.
Entry Fee:
Early Bird Special (December – January 19th): $10.00 per team
January 19th – Event Day: $15.00 per team
Prizes will be awarded for 3 fastest teams & most funds raised for charity
A trophy will be awarded for “Best Team Spirit / Decorated Sled” judged by the Syracuse Crunch
