Good morning! I don’t know about you but I am just so in love with waking up in the summer. Choices seem endless and the world is our oyster. Here are some treasures I found for us this week.

Thursday join LVL 100 in the beautiful courtyard at Benjamin’s for an evening of contemporary jazz/funk, with renditions of some of your favorite movie, video, and TV songs, as well as fun covers and originals! Keenan and Dan will sing a few tunes, too.

Pat Tato opens for Kyle Smith Friday night at Funk. Singer-songwriter Kyle Smith, from Ventura, CA offers his blend of “Cali-Reggae” influenced by Ska, Hip-Hop, and Punk-Rock that is catchy & truthful. Kyle’s roots come from troubled youth and addiction. His self-titled debut EP gives you a glimpse of the life he endured with songs like “Dope Fiend” and “Jaded” all the while keeping an uplifting spirit and tempo. Kyle’s goal in life is to give hope and spread positive vibes with his music.
Earlier on Friday Hard Promises hosts a happy hour at Sharkey’s. We heard you…we are playing less but we miss you and while we have mostly private events in July, we wanted to get a chance to see everyone so why not throw a summer happy hour? We will also have paper tickets available for Petty Fest X at The Vine Theater, del Lago this Fall (we can’t announce the date just yet!). So let’s have a summer hang, share a beer, or a shot, and we will bring the classic rock. We have quite a few new tunes to share and some old tunes we haven’t played in over a year.
