Don’t call her a blues musician Miss E is much more than that. Miss E and The Resonators put on a great intimate performance at SubCat Studios for Soundcheck this past Monday evening.
Miss E gave us a short but sweet set of several of her original songs. I asked her who she was influenced by, “The Beatles, Stevie Wonder, Anne Lenox and more”. It might be because I am a fan of the Beatle’s music, that I could definitely hear John Lennon and George Harrison coming through her words and guitar style.
She is a passionate singer, songwriter and guitarist. The semi autobiographic nature of her songs gave us all a little insight to a bright, caring soul. As Miss E states, “All her music is made in Central New York”.
She is one of CNY Alive’s hometown favorites.
Soundcheck airs on 105.9 The Rebel Sundays at 9pm, Hosted by Dave Frisina. If you’re interested in seeing a recording session at Subcat contact Dave at [email protected]. As Dave says, “The best rock around can be found in your own back yard” Don’t miss this week’s show.
