Natural Beauty at The Ridge:  “Fire On The Mountain”

I am going to ask you a few questions. You will answer “yes” to every one. Do you like a beautiful setting for your musical experience? Do you enjoy listening to talented local musicians? Do you like bacon? Oh good, you pass the test! You certainly would enjoy any musical event at The Ridge, located at 1281 Salt Springs Road
Chittenango, NY 13037.

A recent Tuesday featured three local bands covering the music of The Grateful Dead. In fact, The Ridge features “tribute nights” on roughly every-other Tuesday. The Bog Brothers, Pearly Baker’s Best, and Dark Hollow filled the evening air with everything from the most obscure to the most popular Dead tunes. Their set lists went like this:

The Bog Brothers:
– Stealin’
– Deep Elum Blues
– Shady Grove
– The Race Is On
– On The Road Again

Pearly Baker’s Best:
– Big Boy Pete
– Til The Morning Comes
– China Cat –> I Know You Rider
– Days Between
– Throwing Stones
– Blown Away
– Passenger
– Unbroken Chain

Darkhollow:
– Music Never Stopped
– New Speedway Boogie
– Cumberland Blues
– Let It Grow
– St. Stephen
– Brother Esau
– Help On The Way
– Franklin’s Tower
– Deal
– Scarlet Begonias
– Fire On The Mountain

The Ridge is a gem! Check them out for future musical events such as the Billy Joel Tribute from 6-10 on Tues. August 8th and “Ridgestock” (their version of Woodstock) on Sat. August 19 from 1-10 pm… features Canned Heat and Professor Louie and The Crowmatix! Louie played with and produced “The Band.”
