Oswego Music Hall And Adam Ezra Group Event To Support Local Veterans, Jan 13, 2024

Adam Ezra Group

Oswego, NY – The Oswego Music Hall is proud to present the popular Adam Ezra Group while bringing awareness to local veteran services on Saturday, January 13 at 7:30pm (doors open at 6:30). This non-traditional band with roots from Boston has built a strong fan base over the past two decades with music that crosses generations and genres with their conscious minded fusion of folk, upbeat rock and soul-felt tunes.

The band’s commitment to social change and affinity to veteran support is what spurred Tom Lambert, Artistic Director for the Oswego Music Hall, to arrange for a special “Meet and Greet” at 6:30pm just prior to the show. “It’s a unique opportunity for the community to experience the Adam Ezra Group in a listening room environment as well as show support for the amazing work done by local organizations like Clear Path for Veterans,” says Lambert. “We take a lot for granted, like being able to go out and listen to great music. But the experience is even better when you can give back to the community and feel good about helping others too.”

The public is invited to come early, meet the band and show support for two local veterans service organizations. The non-profit organization Clear Path For Veterans (https://www.clearpath4vets.com)  along with the Oswego County Veterans Service Agency will have tables and information about the services and support available for veterans and will gratefully accept donations to help further their work in our area.

Tickets are on sale online now at oswegomusichall.org, ($16 – $19) or at the rivers end Bookstore in Oswego and although you may be able to get tickets at the door if it is not sold out, the community is encouraged to buy tickets early to ensure a seat.  The band’s popularity gained momentum during the pandemic when Ezra brought his show online to create “The Gathering Series” which continues to connect fans weekly and has reached about 15 million viewers. Ezra founded his own non-profit organization (RallySound) which hosts his annual “Ramble” music festival where 100% of the money goes to help house homeless veterans in the northeast region. Last year they raised $143,000 for this worthy cause. The Adam Ezra Group is Adam Ezra and bandmates – Corinna Smith (fiddle), Alex Martin (drums), Poche Ponce (bass). The wheelchair-accessible venue is located in the McCrobie Civic Center, on 41 Lake Street in Oswego. It is adjacent to Breitbeck Park and overlooks Lake Ontario and the Oswego Harbor. The atmosphere is intimate with candle-lit tables surrounding the stage with light refreshments available. Cash or check only at the door.

Oswego Music Hall is a family-friendly, non-profit organization that has been run entirely by volunteers since its inception in 1977. Volunteers can earn admission to shows through various tasks — from event support to making popcorn. Students can also earn credit for community service.
