Perspectives – Jeff Tripoli’s full length percussion album NOW ON FILM

Greetings from my drumming underground,

As you may have heard, I have just released my newest album, Perspectives. And now the full length album film is on youtube. Watch each collaboration and see just what exactly went into the making of this album. I’m not talking about the nuts and bolts or how the sausage was made, this is a PERFORMANCE FILM.

“Perspectives” is in place to be Tripoli’s most ambitious collection of percussion recordings to date. This full length album brings new additions of Tripoli’s homemade instruments, contraption kits and found sounds. Including everything from mixing bowls to spoons, soup cans to paint cans, groan tubes to toy drums, pickle jar lids to bicycle racks…. even the kitchen sink.

Each tune also features an exclusive list of guest collaborators including Butch NortonRich MangicaroKalani DasCharles CoreySam FishmanBrett BorgesAndrew ToyJason SchirripaNeal Frankle and Johanna So.

This unique release brings improvised drumming to an artistically satisfying platform. Each presented recording is unaltered and authentically pure. No quantizing or editing was used on this record.

With special guests reaching from across the United States and further, each perspective offers a relevant extension to the art of drumming. Add to the equation the distinct innovations of invented instruments, found sounds and contraptions and the outcome is a truly individualistic special blend of talent, artistry and creativity.
