It was an experience to watch the panelists from NPR’s Says You tape their show live. A live recording is a special experience, that leaves you with a new perspective on what goes into these programs.
It was fun to watch the panelists, including CBS morning anchor Farah Jadran, work at coming up with the correct answers to the questions and knowing what most of the audience feels like when stumped by the questions!
Live radio always lends itself to little mistakes. Long series of “bad” puns from the panelists were had at the host, Dave Zobel‘s, expense, the game teetering on the edge of coming off the rails and Mr. Zobel desperately trying to keep it on and getting snarkier and snarkier!
In the end he handled these issues with style, grace and a quick wit that kept us all on our toes not to miss a beat. Says You is a show that you must pay close attention to. I would definitely come out to catch a live recording every chance you get.
