In my interview with Stephen Phillips last month he talked about his new album big eyes and rosy cheeks and his June 28 release show at The Redhouse Theater. So the question is did Stephen Phillips shake Syracuse?
Yes, yes he did to an over sold out room of impressed attendees. The energy the band put forth was contagious. Ashley Rose opened the concert and also performed a striking duet with Phillips showing off her range. The evening was a nice balance of acoustic sets and full on pop show with Shane Patterson/bass, Stephen Collie/drums and David Millen/guitar.
Give the album a listen now. It’s all he promised with a fresh sound that highlights all of his talents. Phillips is a natural. He most obviously belongs in the spotlight. Catch a show so you can say I saw him when…
