The Lightkeeper and SoundCheck at SubCat Studios

The Lightkeepers can be heard on SoundCheck June 24th, 9pm. They are also opening this year’s Blues Fest, Thursday June 28 Main Stage 5pm.

Sound Check this Sunday had The Lightkeepers. We were lucky enough to be present at the recording of the SubCat Soundcheck show.
What a special performance, The Lightkeepers play their own original music as they call it, Addictive music with sincerity. Syracuse is really lucky to have a great band like these cats. It was like taking Robert Cray and Aretha Franklin and making a dessert of Funk Blues and Jazz music. You’ll always want more. The show was only 45 minutes and I didn’t want to leave. Now I might make a comparison to other well know musicians but The LightKeepers have their own unique full body sound. Jes Sheldon is a magnificent signer. Her brilliant personality fills the room when she belts out the blues. Mike Vincetore kills the leads, setting his guitar on fire like Jimi Hendrix, well not really setting on fire, but he was hot. Elliot and Jack Jarvis are the backbone of solid rhythm and harmonies. P.J. Will is the guy that keeps it all together and the music moving.
