The Oswego Players, Inc. 81st Season of continuous live community theater opens April 26th in the Frances Marion Brown Theater, Civic Arts Center, Oswego with the hilarious adult comedy, “What the Rabbi Saw.”

With a cast of characters who will bring a smile to your face and a tickle in your belly, Tom Briggs has expertly directed these fine actors and actresses into a fast-paced comedy ensemble sure to captivate everyone’s heart.

The contemporary play takes place in a posh hotel room just minutes before the wedding of Walter (Matt Fleming) and Wendy (Rachel Torba-Grage). However, Claudia (Victoria Eckhard & Alysa Rosenbarker, who share alternate weekend performances) and Mitch, the Best Man (Don DelPriore) have other ideas as to who’s going to marry whom.

Now add to this, Mr. and Mrs. Kirschenbaum (Sherri and Nelson Metz) parents of the bride, who have been planning this expensive wedding for months and want everything to move along smoothly. However, Noel (Pablo Mendoza) the wedding planner, gets mixed up in the mayhem along with Lainie (Beth DeRousie) as the wedding singer, and Vinnie, her boyfriend (Josh DeLorenzo) and the photographer (Peter Mahan) who haven’t got a clue as to what is going on.

Now enters Rabbi Huchelman (Norman Berlin) who is supposed to marry the young couple but has a habit of overindulging in the red wedding wine. You can see how this all becomes a madcap series of miss-perceptions, tempers on edge, and a whole lot of hide and seek.
