World Touring Joe Louis Walker Stops at Funk ‘n Waffles

Joe Louis Walker, 2017 Grammy nominee, played Friday night to a dedicated Blues crowd at Funk ‘n Waffles Downtown. Byron Cage, local Liverpool drummer, travels internationally with the band.

Joe Louis Walker put down his guitar for a bit to mingle and serenade the crowd personally with his harmonica skills. Lenny Bradford held  it down on bass and Bruce Bears joined the group on keys. Each player is extremely gifted and able to showcase their talents. “This is the best I’ve heard the room sound,” Joanna Kwiek Rice commented and I agreed. It was a solid set of covers and originals seamlessly intertwined.
