Homebrewed Comedy

The laughter is coming to McGraw when Homebrewed Comedy hits the stage at McGraw Box Brewing Co. on Friday, Oct. 31. Mike Speirs is headlining the show and Bill Lake is joining host Mike Peters.
The show starts at 7 p.m., but get there early to get some drinks. Tickets are $10 and come with a free drink. Seating begins at 6:30 p.m.
About the comedians:
Mike Peters, a Binghamton comedian, specializes in self-deprecating, observational humor. A contributor for Funny or Die, Peters is the founder of Homebrewed Comedy. He hosts at the Syracuse Funny Bone and Wise Crackers in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., won the Utica Brews Laugh Contest and Uptown Roast Battle and opened for Super Troopers’ Rabbit, Erik Stolhanske and Gilbert Gottfried. Peters produces shows all over New York and hosts his weekly podcasts, On the Mic with Mike Peters and It’s About Time: A Sopranos Watch Podcast.
A former contributing writer for David Letterman and Craig Ferguson, Bill Lake is a host at the Syracuse Funny Bone, performed yearly at the Binghamton Comedy Crawl and is a founder of the Boho Comedy Club in Binghamton. He’s performed at the Salem Comedy Festival, the Rubber City Festival, the Asheville Comedy Festival, the Cape Fear Comedy Festival, the Plano Comedy Festival, the Cleveland Comedy Festival and North Carolina Comedy Festival. One of Binghamton’s strongest comedians, Lake uses his smart writing to entertain audiences all over the upstate area. He made the finals of Buffalo’s Funniest Person in 2021, and he opened for Dana Gould and Dusty Slay.
Mike Speirs is a nationally touring stand-up comedian known for his captivating storytelling and irresistible charm, making him a crowd favorite wherever he performs. When he’s not headlining clubs, resorts and casinos nationwide, Mike tours theaters alongside the hilarious comedian Bob Marley. Mike’s talent extends beyond the stage. He had a recurring role on Showtime’s award-winning series Escape at Dannemora, now streaming on Netflix, and has also landed in national TV commercials for major brands like ESPN and eBay.
