infinitePOETRY at InfinitePOP

On Friday night Michael A. Gaut, Mic Tha Poet, brought open poetry night to Infinitepop in Armory Square. He spoke of the power of art to heal and provided a safe place for poets to share their words. It was a cozy atmosphere in the shop surrounded by local artistry and a supportive crowd emitting positive vibes. Poets shared personal and powerful messages. It was good for the soul.

Marco Soulo and Signature MiMi opened the night with a duet of spoken word and music accompaniment.

The Painting Poet Art & Activity Center occupies a space in Lyncourt and hosts “Open House Poetry” once a month with the next event scheduled December 21. Their space is filled with art, branded clothing and hosts paint parties. Michael is also starting a small publishing venture.

The Painting Poet has a booth at Infinitepop in Armory Square through December with various art and poetry themed pieces for sale. They are joined by over 40 other local vendors.

Today, December 9, The Painting Poet is having a holiday sale. Stop in to support local art and business at 721 Orwood Place, Syracuse.
