Lights on Fayette is an entertainment studio located between the Delavan Center and The Gear Factory. The space is full of nooks, crannies, and lots of potential. We attended the second Fleas on Fayette event last weekend with assorted artists and vendors. Joey Arcuri & Riley Mahan, Joe Driscoll & Este, and Count Blastula performed. The next show is scheduled at the end of June and word is this will be a monthly event. A casting call will be combined with the next show and people are encouraged to dress in 70’s garb.
Charlie Sam, Yegor Mikushkin and Fletch Crangle were among the notable artists on site. Glassblowers, handmaid jewelry. clothing and crafts were available. There are plenty of opportunities to talk with the artists and take it all in. Live music throughout the day adds to the ambience and is reason enough to stop by.
The building also boasts a showroom large enough to hold hundreds of attendees. I am interested to see how this whole space is utilized and what it will add to the arts scene.
